About the Author

AJ Harmon was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. She currently resides in Oregon, USA, with her husband Brad. They have two grown children, her pride and joy, and a dog named Max.

An avid reader of the Romance genre, the books in her personal library range from historical to erotica and everything in between. “I love reading a sweet romance set in the English Regency period where men were gentlemen and the women pretended to be naïve. But sometimes you just need a hot sexy romance to cap off a long week,” she smiled. The bookshelves in her home are filled with a variety of authors and she is humbled to now be among their ranks.

AJ is a new author, finding her passion in writing after her children had left home, leaving her and her husband empty-nesters. She says the ‘First Class’ series has been a pleasure for her to write and has been absolutely delightful that readers have received them with such a warm embrace.  “It will be hard to say goodbye to the Lathems,” she said. “They have become a huge part of my life and I consider them my family.” The series has nine volumes in total and AJ considers it to be one of her greatest achievements. “This series has changed my life and the readers have brought me more love and joy than I ever hoped for. My life is a fairytale.”

AJ is excited to be working on her new contemporary romance series, Sky Romance Novels, with the first book in the series coming in February, 2014.

Book Trailer
Interview with Stuart Reardon
Hi, Stu. First let me say, I am beyond thrilled that you agreed to be the face of my character, Colt Harris for the cover of Finding Home. As I've told you, I saw a picture of you a couple of years ago and the whole character of Colt sprang to life from that, which is something that I've never done before. I've always had the character in my head and then searched for someone who fit. I am beyond thrilled that the very man who inspired the character has agreed to represent him on my cover. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart for that.

Thank you. I'm very flattered I was always the character in your book. And thank you for choosing me for the cover, I really hope the book does great for you :)

x</ b> I know that you are first and foremost a rugby player and athlete. What made you decide to go into modeling?
I sort of just fell into modeling. I think being in sports and in good shape fits really well with modeling, and fitness modeling in particular. Being in professional sports already had me in great shape, so stepping into fitness modeling was an easy transition.

What's the most unusual pose you've been asked to do?

No really unusual poses to date that stick out in my mind. Some of the action shots are tough as it takes time to capture the right shot, so may have to do the same thing over and over again.

Another question I know everyone is always asking: is there any particular meaning behind your awesome tattoo? Do the symbols represent something, or was it just a design you said, Hey, that looks cool, I want that?

I got my tattoo when I was recovering from a really tough Achilles tendon injury. I had a couple of operations to finally get it right, so it was during that time that I worked out the design with the tattooist and he did the magic. I have always been interested in Tribal designs and culture, so the tattoo reflects that, and it reminds me of that really tough 14 month period in my life: the really low points which made me strong and determined, and a high point when I finally got back fit to play super league again after 14 months of recovery and rehab. I've heard tattoos are addictive.

Will you get more or are you done?

Yes, tattoos are very addictive, I think I may get some more in the future but I've not decided yet.

I know you come to the States for modeling jobs, where all have you been? Yes, I've been to a couple of places in the States, NYC, Miami and LA.

Where have you not gone but would like to? I would love to visit Vegas. America is a huge country so I'm sure there are loads of beautiful places to visit. For me, because I'm a Native Texan, I have to ask: have you been to Texas? I have not but I would love to visit Texas :)

How does it feel to be a muse for a character in a book?

I'm very flattered to be your muse for Finding Home. It's a pleasure to be liked :)

When I was looking through pictures of you on the Internet, I came across one where you were holding a guitar. I grew up a Band Geek and love music of all kinds and try to incorporate it in my books when I can. That picture inspired a whole scene in the book, where Colt is stressed about something and picks up his guitar and is idly playing while talking to his girlfriend, Sarah. Do you play?

Yes, I play the guitar, not really well, though, I'm still learning. I'm a beginner so it's a working process.

Later in the scene, he sings to her. Do you sing?

I try to sing but I'm not the best at that either. I need to practice more

{Ann: I'm sure all the ladies are feeling what I am right now: *swoon*!!! Stu singing! *sigh* ;)}

OK, now let's get personal. Are you ready for this? I'll make it as painless as possible.

Would your girlfriend say you are a Pushover or Alpha male? It's 50/50 I guess. We have give and take or it wouldn't work. I'm an Alpha male but a pushover if she's upset
Boxers/briefs/commando? (lol, kidding! You don't have to answer that!) All 3, it depends on the situation :)

Thank you so much for taking time to indulge the silly writer! And thank you, again, for what I'm sure by now is the millionth time I've said it, but thank you for being so great with all this and for sharing your time and your picture with me and my readers!

You're welcome anytime :) x

Excerpt
Johnny swung the M16 and pointed it at me, “Come here, honey.” He smiled, and I held back the waves of nausea. I knew the smile, what he wanted, knew if he got me out of here, I was going to hurt. “Stop shooting and I will.” I kept my feet planted, hoping the fear didn’t show. He turned and shot a man trying to crawl away. I flinched as blood and thicker things spread over the floor. “You don’t negotiate. Come here, Karen. We have unfinished business.” I took a deep breath, the smell of copper pennies and released bowels covering my nose and throat. Don’t cry, show no weakness. There are others that might survive. I took a step, followed by several more. If I managed to get Johnny and Jake out of here, they could lock down and call for help. Peripheral vision said at least seven survived. The good of the many outweigh the good of the few, or the one, I repeated in my head, remembering the line from the eighties movie, Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. I wasn’t brave like Spock, I was a coward, and couldn’t live with myself. Standing in front of Johnny, I released a punch, sending him reeling. I grabbed his M16 as he lurched to the left, and turned it on Jake. I hesitated, seeing his beautiful eyes, a dozen years of memories flashing in front of me. Shaking my head, I pulled the trigger. His body jumped and moved, eyes wide with pain and surprise. I turned the muzzle to a hunched over Johnny, “Look at me. For once, don’t be a coward, and face the person who is going to take your life.”

20 Fun Facts About Me

1. I used to race on dirt tracks at the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. I never won, but I’m damn good at

crabbing around a corner.

2. English is technically my second language. I spoke Inupiat first.

3. I can shovel water like nobody’s business, and drive heavy equipment, learned while working for a construction

company in Florida.

4. I’m obsessed with American classic cars – the muscle cars of the 1960’s, the curves of the 1940’s & 50’s, the roar

of a gasoline guzzling engine.

5. I used to rescue Rottweilers, managed to retrain and place 172 dogs.

6. I can cuss up a storm, and make an inmate blush.

7. I love the show Supernatural. My favorite character? Baby. The boys are cute eye candy, but I squee over the

Impala.

8. I have PTSD, and large cities/heavy traffic are my worst triggers. I have a teddy bear I carry with me, if Hubby

isn’t available.

9. I love snakes … I’m terrified of spiders. I once jumped out of the second story window of our house and broke

my leg to get away from a wolf spider.

10. I’m a USDA, card carrying, certified klutz. I trip over nothing, and proud of it.

11. I’m addicted to coffee. The real surprise is that I didn’t drink coffee until 2003. Raspberry Mocha Lattes with two

extra shots from Paramount Café are my Kryptonite.

12. I adore Star Trek, Star Wars, and used to have a collection of X-Men comics from the late 80’s.

13. I’m a biologist at heart, and love anything science-y.

14. My fourth grade teacher still has the first short story I ever wrote. She has it hanging on her living room wall

with pictures of her family. I don’t remember what the story was about.

15. I don’t like popcorn.

16. I love winter and the long nights.

17. I have no sense of fashion. Hence, I wear a lot of jeans, t-shirts and sneakers. For fashion advice, I go to Hubby,

my teenager, or friends. I didn’t know what Jimmy Chu’s were until a writer friend explained them to me.

18. I don’t watch scary/gory/horror movies.

19. I can’t do anything craft-y to save my life. I can imagine it, but the execution looks like a hamster on crack tried

to make it.

20. I had to have Hubby help me think of 20 interesting things to share. J

Review: Kiss of a Wolf by Leah D.W.

Book Description

February 10, 2014
My sister is dying.
I am falling for her boyfriend.
And I have just been bitten by a werewolf.
The world of paranormal creatures found its way to my window the night I went out to the forbidden woods outside of town in search of a witch. Witches have magic and that meant getting a cure for my sister before the illness in her system took her from me.
Instead I found something that threatened my own life and my eyes were opened to what was really hiding in the woods.
Something with teeth.
And it was out for blood.
Review:

This was a short and to the point novella. What surprised me the most was how quickly the emotions I felt when I started to read this book, and most of you know I am big about connecting and feeling for the characters.

Vivian or Vee, as she is called by her family, is  a young girl desperate to help her dying sister and when I say she is willing to do anything I mean anything to save her.  At first,  the stubbornness Vee has is almost overwhelming, then I have to remind myself she is a young girl desperate to do anything for the sister she loves.

The anger I felt for some characters was immediate and the ending well...... oh to end it like that.. I need more . I need to know what happens and I hope for a longer story. I enjoy novellas, but I always end up craving more, if the story was written right. And this one was. It was such a fast paced story but not so much I that I got confused.  Would I read more by this author? Absolutely.. Do I want more of Vee, Jessie , Kimber and the pack ? Definitely..

So if you are looking for a short bite.. pun intended this book is for you. I think you will enjoy it.

ONE TO KEEP By Tia Louise *unedited draft, subject to change* expected release March 2014 © 2014, Tia Louise

The condo is dim as I cross back to the kitchen for a bottle of water. Only one lamp is lit, and I go to the enormous glass windows to look out and wait. A few lights dot the downtown area. It’s either too early or too wintery for most people to be out. With the tip of my finger, I touch the cold glass and try to imagine where he is right now. How much longer he’ll work. When he’ll be here with me… A noise at the door causes me to turn, and my chest squeezes when I see him standing in the doorway. His heavy grey overcoat makes him look even taller than six-two, his shoulders even broader. His dark hair is longer than usual, and it just touches his collar in gentle waves. Vibration hums under my skin as I watch him silently, my fingers curl with longing to touch him, slide through that hair. He shrugs off the top coat and hooks it on the rack, and I almost sigh audibly when I recognize the suit he’s wearing. It’s the same one from all those nights ago when I would gaze at him on my laptop screen. Back then I only had my memories and my hands. Now I have the real thing. Gorgeous. He doesn’t see me, doesn’t even know I’m here, and it takes all my strength not to call out to him. I’m waiting, wanting him to see me first. The entry light is on, and his attention is occupied by the stack of mail in his hand. I can see the tension in his lined brow, and even his shoulders appear tight. Touching my lips with my tongue, I have an idea for massaging that stress away, that luscious suit in a pile on the floor, my mouth covering his skin with kisses. I remember the band holding up my hair and quickly pull it out. My long, dark waves sweep over my shoulders at the exact moment his eyes rise. Beautiful blue eyes meet mine, and the center of my body turns to hot liquid. My arm drops, parting the robe, revealing a peek of my nude body underneath, and his confusion is quickly replaced by desire. Without a word, he tosses the letters on the table and shrugs out of the suit coat. He crosses the dining area fast, and I can barely breathe as he approaches, removing more clothing with each step. Tie off, his fingers unfasten buttons. He’s in front of me, shirt open, undershirt the only thing between his skin and mine. It’s possible I’ll come the moment we touch, but I snatch the edge of the thin white tank and push it up his lined torso, pressing my lips against his heated flesh. Large hands are inside the robe, sliding down my bare skin, and a little cry comes from my throat when he grips my ass lifts. I’m off my feet in a sweep, weightless in his arms. My back is pressed against the cold glass, and my breasts are flat against his bare chest. His waist is between my thighs, pressing, teasing, as his mouth muffles the noises coming from my throat. Firm lips push mine apart, and our tongues meet, his exploring my mouth hungrily. Our kisses are desperate, ravenous, and every time his hips push against my clit, fire surges hotter through my body. I need him inside me now. The only sounds are the little noises of pleasure coming from my throat, and his scent is all around me, flooding my senses. My fingers dig into his broad shoulders, pulling him closer to me as his soft lips and scratchy beard blaze a trail from my jaw down my neck to my breasts. I can’t help a moan as my head drops back against the glass. “Oh, god,” I gasp as he catches a straining nipple in his mouth and gives it a hard pull. The sensation registers directly between my legs to my core, and my insides tighten in anticipation. My hands are in his hair, pulling, threading the soft, dark locks, as his kisses climb back up my neck. He’s consuming me, pulling little bits of my skin between his teeth as he goes. “Now, baby. I need you now,” I whisper, begging. I can’t take much more of this before I explode. My thighs are already trembling and jerking, my inner muscles tight and aching…
